Observatory

Getting to know the area you wish to live in is very important. So I have put together a neighbourhood description of the surrounding communities to give you a better idea of what you may be looking for.

Observatory is a community located north of Weldrick Dr, south of 16th Ave, west of Yonge Street, and east to Bayview Ave.

This community is situated in the heart of Richmond Hill. With over 177 acres and an additional 12 acres of land that inhabits the David Dunlap Observatory Park and Elvis Stojko Arena. Once privately owned, these facilities are now being leased by the Town of Richmond Hill. Sitting at the top of a hill, the Observatory allows clear view to visitors of the City of Toronto to the south.

To this day, older townhomes and detached homes sit on Constellation Crescent, Nightstar Drive and Moonlight Lane, with easy walking distance to Yonge Street and public transit. On the north side of the community lays newer complex of detached homes. Their styles and features are very attractive to many home buyers, and uniquely, it is isolated from the rest Richmond Hill by the Observatory Lands to the south.

The major demographics in this community are the Chinese. In the area, a large Chinese community exists, making it a strong and diverse community in Richmond Hill.
